BASIS Global's International Student Program offers a dynamic and rigorous American educational experience for F-1 international students.
International students interested in a unique exchange opportunity to experience American culture and the BASIS.ed curriculum for one academic year have an option to enroll at one of our nine SEVP-certified public high school campuses in Arizona. Each of these campuses is authorized under federal law to enroll nonimmigrant students: BASIS Ahwatukee, BASIS Chandler, BASIS Flagstaff, BASIS Mesa, BASIS Oro Valley, BASIS Peoria, BASIS Phoenix, BASIS Scottsdale and BASIS Tucson North.
Enrollment at BASIS charter schools through the International Student Program is limited to a maximum of one academic term (10 months). Space available to international students is limited in order to ensure that students can fully integrate with the rest of the BASIS student population.
Incoming students typically arrive in August and depart the following May. The International Student Program offers placement into 9th, 10th or 11th grade at a SEVP-certified campus managed by BASIS.ed. Students have the option to transfer to a private U.S. high school upon successful completion of their academic program at BASIS Charter schools.
The International Student Program grew out of the desire to combine our world-renowned curriculum with the American cultural experience. The program fosters fantastic educational experiences for our students and instills in them a love of learning and lifelong curiosity. Our international students bring to the classroom their own unique educational seasoning and, in return, receive a challenging and enriching educational experience.
Our program welcomes a diverse international population, attracting students with assorted backgrounds and areas of interest. Our international students are motivated, academically high-performing individuals with a great appreciation for an amazing educational and cultural exchange opportunity. All incoming students are selected to the program through a series of placement tests, evaluation of their English language skills, and a Skype or in-person interview.
